macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I have this scanner error 13 on my printer. The printer works but not the scanner. I have tried the initial troubleshooting suggestion to unplug from power while printer is on and wait 30 seconds then plug in and try different outlets. This did not work. Can someone help?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting scanner error 13, I am glad to assist you.

Check the scanner bar functionality: partially lift the scanner lid, and then press the Copy button or icon. If the scanner light does not illuminate or move across the glass then it should be a scanner issue.

 

Meanwhile:-

You might have to reset the printer.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
