Scanner error with HPSMART

HP Recommended
Office jet pro 9012
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a office jet pro 9012. While using hpsmart for scanning, I receive en error message "a problem with scanner has been detected...".

I have uninstalled and re installed HPSMART many times. But no success...

I also launched reinitializing of the printer.

Though, the scanner is working with old scan drivers but nothing to do with HPSMART.

We have the same problem with two different computers  for the same printer scanner.

@Airelles, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Check for any pending Windows updates on the computer.

If the scanner is working fine with other scanning applications, it means the printer is working fine and this is an application-specific issue.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix scanning'.
