Hi @ranchboy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing some issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier All-In-One Printer. Before considering buying a new printer, let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issues:

Check Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in.
  • If you are using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Restart Your Computer:

  • Restart your computer to refresh the connection between your computer and the printer.

Printer Software:

  • Make sure that the necessary printer software or drivers are installed on your computer. If not, you may need to download and install the latest drivers from the HP website.

Network Troubleshooting:

  • If you're using a network connection, ensure that your router is working correctly, and your printer is connected to the network.

Reset the Printer:

  • You can try performing a factory reset on the printer. Please refer to your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to do this.

Alignment Issue:

  • If the printer is stuck at "preparing the alignment page," it could be due to a problem with the printer's hardware or the alignment process. You can try canceling the alignment process and see if the printer functions without it.

Before deciding to purchase a new printer, it's worth exploring these troubleshooting steps to see if you can resolve the issues. In many cases, printer problems can be fixed without the need for a replacement.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
