Scanner image broken-up

I'm trying to scan my driving license and rather than scan the whole image, it's breaking the image down into its constituent parts; flag, photograph, text. How do I solve?

Welcome to the HP User Community.

If you are using HP Scan, Select a Page Size OTHER than Detect Photos

You can always scan a larger-than-needed area and then open the saved image file to edit / crop it.

HP Scan also provides a bit of scan then "Crop" editing which might be sufficient.

If you are using HP Smart,

The Basics / Example setup...

Open HP Smart

Click to Scan

Set Source to the flatbed / scanner glass

Uncheck "Detect Edges"

Select a Scan Area that encloses the content you want to scan  (for example 4x6 or larger)

Set the Preset to Photo

Scan

Edit the scanned content to Edit > Crop the size using "Custom" or an available selected size

Done and Save
