HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer

I have a HP Officejet 6310 All In One 2 year old printer.  I have issues with printing and scanning through the feeder.  A horizontal black line has just within the last month or so.  I have had the printer for 2 years and never had the issue.  At first less than 30 days, I could not even scan.  Printing and copying all okay.  Then Best Buy contract for service I have fixed the scanning process, but the black line through the feeder for copying and or scanning continued.  Best Buy suggested to check out with HP or the community to find out if this was a hardware issue or a component needed.  Can someone suggest something.  Best Buy suggested the possibility of realignment of ???

I understand that you are facing issues with printing and scanning through the feeder.

 

Since you have already performed the steps through Best Buy and still having issues, this could be hardware. 

 

However, refer to this document to isolate the issue for copy-related issues. 

 

Also, 

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Follow the steps from the link: Click here 

And, also update the printer firmware:

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.
  • Click here to know different methods of updating the printer firmware.
