Scanner lines.

HP Recommended
Office jet pro 6968 all in one printer.
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.  When I scan and email a document to a client it shows up to them with lines on it.  I believe it’s from a time I used whiteout and didn’t let it dry before putting it into the scanner.  Is there some way of cleaning the scanner with out taking somewhere ??

I'd like to help!

 

Try the suggestions-

 

Let's try a power reset on the printer

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 

 

 Try the steps in the document --Improving Scan Quality
