Scanner not detected

Suddenly none of my PCs at home are able to display the scan result. The scan function works as i can hear the scan tool moving after i click scan but i get below pop up the device couldnot be reached. Its a HP Laserjet Pro MFP m125nw. I performed following with no luck. FYI there is no issue with printing only scanning is an issue

->reset to defaults on scanner

-> uninstall and resinstall hp smart and printer scanner drivers

-> WIA stop and restart

-> reboot PC multiple times

-> unplugging and replugging HW

-> copy function tested on printer works

problem persists on all PCs despite all known efforts

Have you tried to make a copy directly at the printer (to test the scanner hardware)? Here is some information: Make copies with an HP printer .

It looks like you got confused there... I mentioned that Scanner is not Detected.

Printer works like a champ. Scanner I can hear it moving but the app pops up as scanner not found. check the photo in my original post.

you have not written anything about an update or that a change was made to the network settings ... I suspect a scanner hardware defect.

Hi,

As suggested by @Andr-1611, I fully agree and I suggest checking the same.

Please try making a copy from the printer as described in the included document, verifying its functionality will allow making sure you have no hardware failure of the scanner, therefore the copy function should be tested, printing from the computer verifies the printer mechanism and not the scanner hardware mechanism, this should be verified by making a copy.

Please give it a try and clarify if you are able to successfully make a copy with your printer or not.

Sorry for not mentioning it in the original post.

Copy functions work. Tested and printed.  Absolutely no problem with printing. Even scanner moves after clicking scan but  instead of the scan image I get scanner not found popup

What is the scan resolution used while scanning? May you see any difference after reducing the Scan Resolution?

Checked changing different resolutions same behavior scan tool runs and shows pup up
