Hi @Tiki7

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm really sorry your scanner isn’t combining pages into a single document—it’s frustrating when a multi-page scan ends up fragmented.

Let’s walk through how to fix this so your scans come together smoothly.

1. Use the HP App for Multi-Page Scanning

The HP App (formerly HP Smart) offers a dedicated multi-page scan feature.

Steps:

  1. Open the HP App on your Windows 11 PC.
  2. Select your printer/scanner.
  3. Click Scan > Scanner > Document Feeder or Flatbed.
  4. After scanning the first page, click Add Page to continue scanning.
  5. Once all pages are scanned, click Done, then Save as PDF.

This ensures all pages are merged into one file.

Download or update the app here: HP App – Microsoft Store

2. Confirm Scan Settings

If using another app or driver interface:

  • Open the scan utility and go to Settings or Preferences.
  • Look for options like:
    • Output Type: Set to PDF – Multi-page
    • Auto Combine Pages: Enable if available
    • Scan Source: Ensure it’s set to Document Feeder (if using ADF)

3. Avoid Image Formats

If your scan output is set to JPEG, PNG, or TIFF, each page will save separately.

  • Always choose PDF as the output format for multi-page documents.
  • If needed, use the HP App to convert existing scans into a single PDF.

4. Use the Flatbed with Add Page Option

If your printer doesn’t have an automatic document feeder (ADF):

  • Place the first page on the flatbed.
  • Scan using the HP App and click Add Page after each scan.
  • Save all pages together when finished.

Let me know which printer model you’re using and whether you’re scanning from the flatbed or ADF, and I’ll tailor the steps further.

You’re absolutely right to expect seamless scanning—let’s make sure your documents come together just the way you need.
