Scanning Multiply pages from the flatbed

I am trying to scan multiple pages via the flatbed( My feeder has never worked) but I can not see the add + sign to add more pages which the manual says to do

• Are you using a Win PC or a MAC?
• Which application are you using to scan?
• Have you tried making a copy from the feeder and check if that works?
• To resolve issues with the feeder, perform the steps from this document - ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets
• The 'Add' icon is displayed if you are trying to scan a document in PDF format. JPEG format does not support the Add function.
