I desperately need to scan several documents. "Scanning is currently unavailable".

The WiFi icon has been lit and is steady. I'd rather just use a usb cable; the last time I scanned it 'uploaded' to god knows where without any notification whatsoever.

'Troubleshooting' found no issues.

I downloaded print and scan doctor - now five lights are flashing - with no documentation of what any of this means.

It wouldn't print at one point either, and a few days later it would. No explanation.

Please excuse for putting it this way - this dam thing has been a nightmare.

@12Chris, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to scan. To assist you better, which app are you using to scan?

Are you able to print?

Check the connectivity between the devices. 

Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
