My printer is an older unit I bought new. when set it up set it for my wife and I to print from our Macbooks Mine is a Pro hers an Air, also I print from my iPad. We are the devices wirelessly but the printer is wired to the router. Printing works fine. recently we needed to scan a document and I have tried to set this up but no joy. I downloaded the software and drivers again and the firmware is updated on the printer. I also dowloaded the user manual and read it. Im not sure if everything is correct because I can't seem to scan back to my MacBook Pro or send a scan to email. I did set up my email in the address book but it dosnt seem to find me. Im not a complete ludite but I'm far from an expert. Can anyone help?

Hi,

What exact feature are you trying to use? is it Scan to Email from the printer front panel only, or what other scanning feature you are trying to use? are you trying to scan from the printer front panel or from any scanning application on your Mac computer?

For the Scan to Email feature, please click the wireless or Ethernet icon on the printer, then the Middle Square (Wireless or Ethernet) (Figure 2 below):

Open Safari and type the IP Address of the printer to access its EWS page.

Open the Scan tab and click on Scan to Email Outgoing Profiles there.

Click Test for the existing profile, what exact results are shown? (or you may not see any profile there?)
