Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I try to scan it says the scanner is busy - it is NOT. When I run HP Smart it says there is a driver error but the system identifies the printer as 4100 series!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

1. Please update the firmware for the printer

2. Uninstall and Reinstall HP Smart (ensure it is the latest)

3. Reconnect to network
