Why do I have to be online to scan? I bought the printer outright. There is no reason why I have to sign in on a printer/scanner I bought!

Hello @Felix_999 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

You need to provide some more details:

  1. Window or MAC computer?
  2. What Printer?

How Do I Find My Printer's Product Name or Number?

  3. How is the printer connected? USB or Network?
  4. Has it ever worked or is this a new installation?

Kind Regards
Andr-1611
