I have a HP deskjet 3700 all in one printer. How do I scan on it

Scanning is done with the tool HP Smart which you can get from the Microsoft Store.

 

The full feature software package includes windows scanning software

Possibly that software has it's own scanning app.  My LJ drivers came with "HP Scan" which does higher resolution than HP Smart.

 

I do not know about MacOS, sorry.
