How can I send and receive faxes without a lan-line ?

I have an HP MFP M227fdn All-in-one printer.

My printer is online and is registered with HP and receives firmware updates

I have HP Smart installed and my PC is connected to my printer via USB cable

Both my printer and computer are on my home network by ethernet

I think my printer has its own email address too ?….Not sure ?

You can send faxes with HP Mobile fax app, but for receiving faxes you must have printer connected to telephone landline.

Okay, I was just wondering because it is getting very expensive to have a lan-line in Silicon Valley California ( San Francisco Bay Area )

Also AT&T discontinueed lan-line support in San Francisco Bay Area.

Comcast / Xfinity still offers a lan-line service but it is expensive.
