Hi there,
I am helping a friend to set up the HP Laserjet m5035x/m5035xs mfp on his new Windows 11 laptop. Windows 10 drivers work fine and printing works. Now in the next step I wanted to set up the folder on the new Windows 11 laptop to which the scan should be sent. This is where I'm faced with a problem.
The printer is connected to the router via a LAN cable, and I was able to access the HP EWS via the IP. In the EWS I went to Digital Sending and wanted to apply the settings that were entered on the Windows 10 laptop that was previously connected to the printer. That didn't work. When I click "Apply" nothing happens.
The EWS does not accept the identical administrator data or a different e-mail address. Is there a misconception? Does it have to be identical data or a new "user" even though it's just another laptop.
The printer is located in a private household and alternative administrator data does not exist nor is there a physical administrator. How do I get further in the EWS and how is it possible to activate scanning on the laptop? Thank you.

Like to help but I am not entirely sure where you are running into issues in the menus. Can you screen shot (blur out any personally identifiable data for security reasons. If you are configuring a scan to folder, there is no email address required to configure this function. Thanks for responding. So when I go through the steps of setting up the scan folder and go to Digital Sending, I'm asked for name and e-mail. The printer was set up many years ago by a person that can't be contacted so I'm not sure which name and e-mail would be the right one. We tried it with the same that was used on the windows 10 Laptop but it wouldn't let me click 'Apply'. Same with another name and e-mail. The printer is in a private household and the owner asked for my help. Is there a way to set up a new admin?
