HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e

I have tried to set up the 9015e to scan to email and I see others have tried to set it up to scan to google drive. It seem that the 9015e simply does not support that any longer. You *could* set it up to scan to email with App Passwords but that no longer seems to work and I'm not entirely sure what end the issue is.  Attempts to get help from HP have ended in absolute frustration as their Phone Support is absolutely abysmal. You call in and are told you have to speak to a different department but they do not directly transfer you, they through you back into the general queue.

My guess as to why this is is that Google is doing away with App Passwords in favor of a more secure option. I've tried in vain to set it up and the printer just tells me it can't connect.  No log, no further information.  Attempts to get assistance here have gone no where as well.

Curiously HP seems to no longer be making the versions of the 9010 (in this case the 9015 vs the 9015e) series that supported various Apps that allowed you to use Googles preferred way of authorizing accounts ... It looks like the (much) more expensive printers still have this functionality but, honestly, I can't really tell because HP doesn't give a lot of information.
