I tried to setup a Scan to Network folder on a Mac for HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw.

 

I have a Public folder which is SMB enabled and I created a Scan subfolder.

 

When trying to register this subfolder on the HP website I received a message that the value (of the path) was illegal. The path was: /Users/[myname]/Public which is what I get under "Where" under "Get Info" for the said folder.

 

What should the right path be?

The issue was solved by HP support in Israel. They created a new folder called Scans on my desktop, and the path is:

\\10.0.0.10\scans
