Subtle line down side of paper when putting paper in feed

I have owned my printer (black and white cartridge) for almost two years and have not had this problem until now: I place a paper in the top feed and the copy comes out with a subtle vertical line down the side of the paper along with the printed material. I troubleshot and cleaned the glass plate and gently cleaned underneath the plastic flap/ridge in front of the plate. No visible signs of lint, dust. I did a Clean Page  process and still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

Did you also clean the tiny slit of a window under the Document Feeder?  This is normally where a spec of dirt or paper will be found that causes the line(s).

Take a paper that has a line on it and align it with the window.  See if a spec resides at the same place as the line.

I am not even sure whether I am cleaning what you are suggesting I do. 😞 I am not technical at all and cannot imagine what all these parts do.

Adding at a later date: A friend who is an IT person came over with her Swiffer and cleaned lint that must have made this line. It's fixed. I am SURE you knew all the places where this speck could have been. Thank you for your kind support!
