Hi,

 

I have a HP Officejet 5740 printer and for some reason, now I can't change the printing setting to choose black and white.

 

The software freezes and shuts down when I click on the Paper/Quality tab to set to black and white. I can't click on the layout tab either, it gives me an error message (exception code 0xe0000005) 

 

On an unrelated note, is there a way to set black and white as the default setting for the printer so I don't have to select that every time I print something?
