Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

I Have a HP C6280  All in one printer.  Had no problems till this morning when I tried to scan and a new screen appeared with a small f and small i. The screen will not go away no matter where I click. How to I get rid of this new screen so I can scan again?  I am old and not a computer expert so please explain the steps required in easy to understand terms. THANK YOU.Scanner.jpg

Edits - Updates

 

Remove / Uninstall Flash player

Remove folders

Restart computer

Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

Adobe Flash is permanently disabled - Solution Center depended on Flash and no longer works.

 

Please try HP Scan and Capture

Download and install the application from the Microsoft Store.

 

Click Start (windows key) > Open the All Apps list > scroll the list 

Open Category HP

Find the HP Scan and Capture application

Right-Click on the application and PIN to Start

 

When you want to use the app:

Windows Key > Click on the HP Scan and Capture App

 

 

HP Scan and Capture - Microsoft Store (formally Windows Store) - Requires Windows 8 or higher

 

Windows Scan – Microsoft Store (formally Windows Store) - Requires Windows 8 or higher
