Scan to Computer is just that -- scan from Printer to Computer

The printer does not know how to scan from the printer to a mobile device.

 

Install a supported application - for example HP Smart - onto your supported iPad

Be sure to have both printer and iPad on the same network --

Have both Bluetooth and Location services switched ON (in the iPad) during the initial app installation.

 

Open the app on the iPad > Scan items placed on the printer flatbed.

Read the FAQs

For example: 

What is the HP Smart app and its requirements?
