@marys13, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Printer and Computer Connection

Wi-Fi connection: Ensure both the printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart both devices: Turn off and back on your printer and computer to reset any temporary issues.

Check network status: Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify it's connected to Wi-Fi.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

Enable "Scan to Computer"

HP Smart → Printer Settings → Scanner Settings → Enable "Scan to Computer"

Or use HP Printer Assistant (Windows):

Search "HP" in Start Menu → Open "HP DeskJet 2700 series"

Click Scan → Manage Scan to Computer

Click Enable

Reinstall or Update Drivers

Corrupted or outdated drivers may cause the issue.

Go to: HP DeskJet 2734e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

Download the Full Feature Software and Drivers

Reinstall and restart your computer

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
