Hi @NaveedR,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble scanning from your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP using the TWAIN interface, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check Scanner Connection:

  • Ensure that your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP is properly connected to your computer via USB or network connection.
  • Make sure the scanner is powered on and ready to scan.

2. Install Scanner Drivers:

  • Verify that you have installed the appropriate scanner drivers for your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP on your computer.
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers compatible with your operating system.

3. Use TWAIN-Compatible Software:

  • Ensure that the software you are using to scan supports the TWAIN interface.
  • Common TWAIN-compatible scanning software includes Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and VueScan.

4. Configure TWAIN Settings:

  • Open the TWAIN-compliant scanning software on your computer.
  • Look for the option to select the scanner source or acquire image from TWAIN source.
  • Choose your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP as the TWAIN source.

5. Check Scanner Settings:

  • Make sure that the scanner settings such as resolution, color mode, and document type are configured correctly for your scanning needs.

6. Restart Scanner and Computer:

  • Turn off your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP and your computer.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on.
  • Try scanning again to see if the issue is resolved.

7. Update Scanner Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP.
  • Download and install the latest firmware update from the HP Support website.

8. Reinstall Scanner Drivers:

  • If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the scanner drivers on your computer.
  • Follow the instructions provided by HP for removing and reinstalling the scanner drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
