I can't finish setup in order to use scanning option

The error code "UU_400_EB000U0707" during the setup of your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw generally indicates an issue related to connectivity or software that is preventing the setup from completing successfully. Here are the steps you can take to resolve this issue:

 

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your internet connection is stable and working correctly. If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure the signal is strong and that there are no network interruptions.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • If you are not already using it, download and install the HP Smart app on your device (available on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS).
  • Open the HP Smart app and follow the guided setup process to connect your printer.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and the device (computer, smartphone, etc.) you're using to set up the printer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, and plug it back in.

Update Firmware:

  • Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing the printer's IP address into a web browser. This IP address can usually be found on the printer's display or through a connected device.
  • Navigate to the "Settings" or "Management" section and check for firmware updates. Update the printer firmware if available.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Reset the printer's network settings to default:
    • Go to the printer's control panel.
    • Navigate to Network Settings.
    • Select Restore Network Settings.
  • Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the setup wizard on the printer or the HP Smart app.

Please find the remaining steps below. 

 

Check HP Account and Services:

  • Ensure your HP account is in good standing and that there are no issues with the HP cloud services.
  • Sign in to your HP account through the HP Smart app and make sure the printer is correctly linked.

Disable VPN and Firewalls:

  • If you are using a VPN, proxy, or have a firewall enabled, disable them temporarily during the setup process as they might interfere with the connection.

Try a Different Connection Method:

  • If you are setting up via Wi-Fi and continue to encounter problems, try connecting the printer via USB or Ethernet cable instead.

Reinstall Software:

  • Uninstall the HP printer software and drivers from your device.
  • Download the latest software and drivers from the HP support website.
  • Reinstall the software and follow the setup instructions again.

 

These steps should help resolve the setup issue with your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw.
