Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. When making a copy it's really light - I've gone through settings and increase the darkness all the way over but it still doesn't print any darker.  I've hit the done button but when I go back and look it has defaulted to the center.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

 

Mystery printer might need help with maintenance.

Ink might need to be changed.

 

 

Two examples:

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010, 9020 Printers - Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

HP Smart Tank 500, 600 Printers - Color or Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

There are many, many HP printer models.

It will be easier for you to find the help you need when you know which printer model you have.

 

Find and Open the printer's Product Home

Open Category Troubleshooting > Select Topic Print

Look for the document that explains "Quality" issues

When the website support page opens, Select (as available) a Category > Topic > Subtopic
