macOS 10.12 Sierra

Was going to try to scan something but HP SMART asked me to sign in so I try to sign in but it just gets stuck and wont actually sign into anything. HP support absolutely sucks and I just get stuck in a circle that repeats and I cant get anywhere and HP does not provide any support numbers to actually get help (WIsh I knew this before I bought this paperweight) What is going on? this doesnt reflect well on HP when I cant print anything because I cant sign in. 

 

 What is going on, how to I fix this. I am about to return this printer as it is useless at this point.

Hi,

Your printer is supported on macOS 10.14 or later, it is not compatible with 10.12 and HP Smart as well is not supported on 10.12 and therefore doesn't work, you may find its system requirements below:

You may try scanning using Image Capture and check if that may work:

If it fails, I suggest upgrading your operating system to a supported version:

Hi, I have windows 10 system and the same problem. Can not scan via the HP APP. When asked to login via the APP,  the system returns: Oops we are sorry .... (Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0100).

Here is the thing, it has been working prior to today, for a whole month. What does my operating system have to do with the App will not sign in? It literally will not sign in.

It have to do with the fact that the latest HP Smart version is supported on 10.13 or later,

Earlier versions might worked in the past, but no longer work due to server changes, which requires the latest HP Smart version to successfully authenticate to the cloud server.

This is an expected behavior to fail, due to the incompatibility of older versions with the cloud server..
