Starting maybe two months ago, it seems like HP Smart requires me to log in every time I want to use it, and then there is some other mess-up related to a window being behind a window or something. I need to log in every time I want to scan a document. It never used to be this way. Is there a way I can just use my scanner when I want to, like it used to be?

I understand that you are facing issues with HP smart. I'd like to help!

 

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP smart app and also update the firmware from here
