Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I'd be glad to help you! 

 

When dialing a fax number on the HP ENVY Photo 7855, you don’t need to enter a dash (-). Simply enter the full number as a continuous string, including the area code if necessary. For example, instead of entering 123-456-7890, you would dial 1234567890.

The printer will handle the dialing without requiring the dash. Let me know if you encounter any issues!
