Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I lost over an hours worth of work after scanning 80 photos using the app. When I clicked save the app crashed. I have seen several similar posts saying there is no way to recover this work. There should be a warning about trying to save too many photos at once. Is there anything being done to fix this issue? It seems like a huge flaw that can really set someone back when using a main feature of your app. I have seen nothing here about anyone addressing this issue, just telling customers that they unfortunately lost all their work.
