Where is the OCR feature?

Hi, I just purchased an HP Officejet Pro 9015. The side of the packing box indicates "Optical character recognition, Create editable, searchable documents from Smart Tasks." I have yet to find out where this feature lies within the app. Very frustrating. Please help.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition); Smart Taks shortcuts: 1-click customizable scan to cloud destinations, email, and print, create editable, searchable documents by scanning from phone or printer; Smart Tasks destinations: Dropbox, Google Drive, One drive, email recipients, print

If you have not done so, download-save-install the Full Feature Software for the printer

  HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software

• Download-and-Save the printer software (Full Feature Software / HP Smart / Easy Start)
• Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
• Reminder:  If using Easy Start, select the Full Driver

  About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full" driver set (as opposed to the basic driver).

Be sure you don't accidentally "remove" the OCR selection during the installation - OCR may not show up as a separate listing, of course - just read the menus / windows before clicking along... 

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart proves to be stubborn).

Open HP Smart > If not done, Sign into the application

Open Smart Tasks >

Create a Smart Task > "Save to"

Select your Destination

Open Document Handling Settings

Switch ON "Make Searchable or Editable"

• Print: Send a print job to your printer.
• Email: Send an email message or attachments.
• Save to: Save a file to a cloud storage account, such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.

I eventually figured out the OCR feature. Am disappointed with it as it will not scan to an Excel like format.
