Where is the slot for inserting a thumb drive for saving a scanned document?

Hi,

The printer have no USB Host port (to connect a Thumb Drive / USB Stick).

 

You may insert an SD Card to the Memory Card slot and print photos or scan to it, not a thumb drive, see page 13, Figure 15 of its user guide:
