When I scan on my HP Officejet 3830 using the ADF, the scanner adds two thick lines to the right margin of every page. These lines appear to have been added as a feature, but I do not want them. I have cleaned the glass bed, the ADF and the input tray many times, but the lines are still added. I have gone over every setting I can find. How do I get rid of these lines on my scans? If I scan one page at a time on the flatbed, there are no lines, but this can be a pain with a large document. Can you please help?

You need to clean the smaller glass on the left from the flatbed glass.

I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned EVERY INCH of the flatbed glass, both the larger AND the smaller areas. Still getting the lines

I'm sorry but the offered solution of cleaning the smaller glass did NOT work. EVERY INCH of ALL glass portions have been cleaned, re-cleaned and re-cleaned AGAIN a great many times. I am still getting the lines. What's the problem?
