I want to create a SCAN TO NETWORK FOLDER profile that can be chosen at the printer panel and incorporates the date and time in the file name.  I have created a profile using the web browser, but it will not allow me to configure a file name prefix that uses wildcards for date, time etc.  It only lets you put in a name and then it appends a number afterwards.  This doesn't work if you have automated tools that move folders after they are scanned and you end up overwriting files.

 

I don't understand why in this day and age, HP does not have this capability in these expensive business devices.


For instance:  %Y-%DM-%DD_%HH:%MM:%SS 

Would produce the file in the folder:  2024-02-20_12:01:44.pdf

 

Scanning or to initiate the scan from the computer using a scan program is not the desired solution.

I want to be able to configure the printer's scan settings to have this option available on all scans that were triggered from the printer.
