We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Was jammed with old ink; cleaned. I get an error at startup which says "improper  shutdown" which I didn't do.  Tried to copy ,says "now copying page 1/1" but just locks up.  Tried printing a status report and says "now printing" but locks up.  Won't print from computer.

@tony5465, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand the printer is stuck. This is a pretty old printer and support options are limited.

 

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Leave the printer unplugged for a couple of hours and then try powering it on and check if that helps.

 

If the issue persists, Unplug the power cable, hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it.

Connect the power cable and power ON the printer.

 

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
