Issues with faxing! My Officejet all-in-one 5255 allows me to send a fax without a landline but will not allow me to receive a fax. Everything I've read says the fax will not work without a landline but if that was true how does it allow me to send a fax. Please help me  Thank you

Hi,

The printer does not allow sending or receiving faxes without a landline in any way.

 

How do you send a fax? from your printer? from any software on your PC? (You are not sending it via HP Smart, right? if so, the HP Mobile Fax feature have nothing to do with the printer itself, but only with the HP Smart app and only allow sending faxes).

 

If you send it from the device, please take a look and let me know how many cables are connected to the back of the printer.
