Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Yes it can be set to Print in Black only.

 

Try these steps:

1. Go to Control Panel (in the Search, key in Control Panel)

2. Go to View Devices and Printers

3. Right click on the HP 8710 and select Printing Preferences

4. Go to Paper / Quality Tab

5. Under Print in Grayscale >select  Print in Black Ink only
