Hi @Tj12347,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're unable to scan over the network with your HP ENVY 7855 after updating to macOS (referred to as "Tahoe" 16.1). Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Ensure Printer is Powered On and Connected:

  • Make sure your HP ENVY 7855 printer is turned on and connected to the same network as your Mac. You can check this on the printer's control panel.

Verify Wireless Connection:

  • Check the wireless icon on the printer to ensure it is connected. The icon should display a solid light indicating a stable connection.

Update HP Printer Software:

  • Ensure you have the latest HP drivers and software installed on your Mac. Visit the https://support.hp.com/us-en page, enter your printer model, and download any updates available for your printer.

Reset Printing System:

  • Open "System Preferences" on your Mac.
  • Go to "Printers & Scanners."
  • Right-click (or Ctrl-click) in the Printers list, and choose "Reset Printing System."
  • Re-add your printer by clicking the "+" icon and selecting your HP ENVY 7855 from the list.

Install Latest macOS Built-in Drivers:

  • macOS often provides built-in drivers for most printers. Ensure macOS installed the correct version by removing and re-adding the printer in the "Printers & Scanners" settings.

Network and Router Check:

  • Ensure that your network is functioning properly. A poor network connection can cause scanning issues. Try restarting your router and check whether network connections have improved.

Enable Bluetooth:

  • Temporarily enable Bluetooth on your Mac and printer to assist in detecting the device during setup.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
