Hi @Janko8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the scanning.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All-In-One Printer is no longer able to scan and your computer cannot connect to the scanner, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer. You can check the printer's network settings from its control panel or by printing a network configuration page.
  • Verify that the printer is turned on and ready to scan.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer and your computer.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the drivers on your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Check Firewall Settings:

  • Temporarily disable the firewall on your computer and try scanning again.
  • If the scan works with the firewall disabled, you may need to add an exception for the printer in your firewall settings.

Check Scanning Software:

  • Ensure that the scanning software on your computer is set up correctly to communicate with the printer.
  • If you're using HP Scan software, try reinstalling it or using a different scanning application.

Reset Printing System (Mac):

  • On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click on the printer and select "Reset printing system."
  • Re-add the printer and try scanning again.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve printer connection issues.

Restart Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down and find the "Print Spooler" service.
  • Right-click on it and select "Restart."

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model.
  • Follow the instructions on the website to update the printer's firmware.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer's IP address is correctly configured in your computer's scanning settings.
  • You may need to reconfigure the printer's network settings if they have changed.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with your printer, and you may need to contact HP support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
