Hi,
Copy means to place an original on the printer an use the copy feature on its screen, a such does not involve any software.
May you refer to any other feature such as scanning from a computer?
What exact steps are taken and what are the expected results?

thanks for the reply, the reason is that the not hp ink error is stopping me from accessing the screen on the printer,so I cant copy. ive tried everything i can find on the web, reinstalled drivers, but cant clear the error, there is no option in the tools setting

What exact error is shown on your printer?
Can you print from the computer? any error message will likely prevent any printing.
If you can print, you may scan from the HP software and then print the scanned file, copying is a feature on the printer screen and not on the software, but scanning from the software and printing provides the exact same results...
