Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
OfficeJet Pro 6960
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

To use the fax option with the 6960 printer I must connect  the cable with a miru filer filter (ADSL) to the wallet.

In Israel the micro-filter has two output ports : RJ11 for modem and BT431A for Phone.

The cable supplied with the printer has RJ11 connectors at both sides.

Do I miss anything?

TIA

Nanu

@cnanu

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I Understand you need assistance with configuring Fax,

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Did you follow your product user guide to find information on how to set up fax?

While you reply to my query, here's a few things you should know:

Connect the telephone cord, set up the fax connection, and then set the fax preferences.

Step 1: Requirements

Before you set up your fax service, make sure you complete the following tasks:

  • Have an active telephone landline

  • Install the ink cartridges

  • Load plain, white paper in the input tray

  • Get the 2-wire telephone cord and adapter (if provided) that came in the box with the printer

Step 2: Set up a fax connection

Connect the telephone cord, set up your fax connection, and then select your fax settings from the printer control panel. These steps show how to set up faxing for a phone system using a voice/fax line and a telephone answering machine.

 NOTE:

For help setting up your printer on an ADSL line or a PBX system, see the FAQ How do I set up a fax for an ADSL line? or How do I set up a fax for a PBX phone system?

  1. Unplug any telephone devices from the phone jack where you are connecting the printer.

  2. Remove the plug from the port labeled 2-EXT on the rear of the printer.

Thanks for your replay.

My problem isn't the fax setup but the cable supplied with the 6960 printer.

The cable supplied with the printer has RJ11 connectors at both sides.

In Israel the micro-filter has two output ports : RJ11 for modem and BT431A for Phone.

For using the fax function in Israel HP must supply a cable with a RJ11 connector at one side and a BT431A  connector at the second end.

What is your opinion?

TIA
