hello,😁

 

i have LaserJet m1212 mfp. i know how to copy, but i do not know how to scan a document to my computer. 

 

i also bought a new computer. 

 

in order to connect my laptop to printer i downloaded the full driver from HP website and it worked. 

 

i remembered i wanted to scan. so i looked for scanning in the printer and did not found any. 

 

i returned to HP website and downloaded hp assistance doctor. is this the only way to scan ???? 

 

anyway, after downloading, it put a sign in the desktop of a shortcut but clicking on it doesn't open any program. 

 

how to scan??? to my computer, do i need hp assistance doctor? and why isn't it working?

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to scan.

 

To enable additional scan features with supported printers, install HP scan software to scan from the printer, duplex scan, and create an editable scan file.

HP scan software (Windows, Mac): Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads to install the full feature driver and software. After completing the printer setup, open the scanning software.

Windows: Search Windows for your printer model name and number to open HP Printer Assistant. On the Scan tab, click Scan a Document or Photo to open HP Scan. 

 

Enable Scan to computer

 

Open the HP Full-featured software by clicking on the printer icon on the desktop screen or by searching windows for HP Officejet Pro 6968.

 

Search Windows for HP > HP OfficeJet Pro 6968> double click to open the HP Printer assistant > Click on Scan

 

Click on Manage scan to computer 

 

Click on Enable > Check the box at the bottom > Close
