Hi @c510a,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Photosmart eStation All-In-One Printer C510a is producing copies that are only in black color, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Ink Levels: First, make sure that your color ink cartridges are not empty. You can check ink levels from the printer’s control panel or through the HP software installed on your computer.

Clean the Print Heads: If the ink levels are sufficient, it’s possible that the print heads are clogged, especially if the printer hasn’t been used frequently. Use the printer's built-in cleaning function to clean the print heads. You can usually find this option in the printer maintenance settings on your printer's display.

Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer is not set to print in grayscale. Check this setting both on the printer itself and in the printer preferences on your computer. When you print, choose the printer properties or preferences from the print dialog and ensure that the option to print in color is selected.

Update Printer Drivers: Outdated printer drivers can cause issues. Make sure that the drivers for your printer are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website. Enter your printer model and look for drivers compatible with Windows 11.

Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, other software can interfere with printer operations. If you recently installed new software around the time the issue began, try uninstalling that software to see if it resolves the problem.

Reset the Printer: If none of the above steps work, try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This can often clear up issues that other troubleshooting steps miss. Look up how to perform a reset in your printer’s user manual as the steps can vary.

If the issue still persists, It must be a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
