hp laserjet m1132 mfp

Hello, I have a problem on my printer HP Laserjet M1132 MFP, the print and scan results are good, but the copy results are bad, I see from the settings report that the photocopy quality is only draft, while on other printers with the same type is text quality for photocopy quality, so I ask for help how to change the photocopy quality setting from draft quality to text quality. Thank you very much sir

Hi @alfath,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet M1132 MFP is producing low-quality copies and you notice that the copy quality is set to draft, you can adjust the settings to improve the quality of your copies. Here’s how you can change the copy quality setting from draft to text or higher quality:

1. Adjust Copy Quality Settings via Printer Control Panel

A. Access the Copy Menu:

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Copy button to enter copy mode.

B. Select Copy Settings:

  • Use the arrow keys or touchscreen (if available) to navigate to Copy Settings or Copy Quality.

C. Change Quality Setting:

  • Look for an option like Quality or Copy Quality. Select it and choose a higher quality setting such as Text or Normal instead of Draft.

D. Confirm and Start Copying:

  • Confirm the changes and proceed with copying to see if the quality has improved.

2. Adjust Copy Quality Settings via HP Software

A. Open HP Software:

  • On your computer, open the HP software that came with your printer. This is usually HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant.

B. Select Copy Settings:

  • Look for an option to adjust Copy Settings or Copy Quality in the software.

C. Set to Higher Quality:

  • Change the quality setting from Draft to Text or Best.

D. Save Settings:

  • Save the changes and try making a copy to check if the quality improves.

3. Check Printer Firmware and Driver

A. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP LaserJet M1132 MFP. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues, including copy quality problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
