We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hp "G4050" "unhook and remove the backing from inside the scanner lid to expose the scanner bulb.  Remove any objects from the scanner glass.  Load slides and negatives.  Try scanning again."

 

So, my scanner bulb is exposed. There are no objects on the scanner glass. My negatives are loaded. I've tried scanning again.  Same error message.

 

Help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hi,  I am having the very same error message appear.

My HP scanjet G4050 is also out of warranty.

I am located in Canada.

Are you able to offer a solution 'as I cannot see or view Praveenbv solution.
