i can send faxes but I can't receive faxes from certain business

I have sent faxes using my printer, but is there a way to RECEIVE a fax through my printer or send it to my email using my cell phone number or my house number?

Yes, you can receive faxes using your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer.

Check Connections:

• Ensure your printer is connected to a traditional landline telephone service.
• Connect the phone line to the printer's 1-LINE jack.

Set Fax Preferences:

• Auto Answer Mode: Enable Auto Answer mode on your printer to automatically receive faxes.
• Rings to Answer: Set the number of rings before the printer answers an incoming call. Adjust based on whether the phone line is shared with voice calls or an answering machine.

Receiving Faxes Automatically:

• The printer can automatically receive incoming faxes and then print them, forward them to email, or save them to a folder on your computer.
• If an answering machine is connected, ensure your printer is set to receive faxes after a few rings more than the answering machine.

Receiving Faxes Using Email:

To receive faxes via email, you need to set up HP Digital Fax.

1. Set Up HP Digital Fax:
   • Use the HP printer software on your computer to configure HP Digital Fax. This allows incoming faxes to be saved to a folder on your computer or forwarded to your email inbox.

Note:

HP fax-capable printers require traditional landline telephone services for faxing. While VoIP and DSL services might work with proper setup and equipment, cellular networks currently do not support faxing from a printer.
