Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Welcome to the HP English Community --

 

Simple -

Unplug the 2-wire phone cord from the back of the printer.

No more faxes.

 

Switch OFF the Fax automatic pickup.

User Guide > Page 80

 

Remove / wipe out the Fax configuration using the printer control panel or the Embedded Web Server (EWS) --

Without the landline plugged in, configuration / settings are superfluous.

 

 

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Basic Fax Settings

 

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > Fax Setup Wizard

 

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Fax > HP Digital Fax
