Hi @TZeee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 2050 printer continues to print the alignment page repeatedly and doesn't proceed to copy or print other documents, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Ensure Proper Installation:

  • Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and securely seated in their respective slots.
  • Check that there are no obstructions or foreign objects in the printer that could be hindering normal operation.

Alignment Process:

  • If the printer keeps printing the alignment page, it might be because the alignment process is not completing successfully.
  • After the alignment page is printed, place it on the scanner bed and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupt drivers can lead to various issues.
  • Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest drivers for your operating system.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes.
  • Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the issue persists.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of paper can disrupt the printing process.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset on the printer. This can usually be done by turning off the printer, unplugging it, and holding down the power button for about 15 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Make sure there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue. Clear any pending print jobs on your computer.

Printer Software Utility:

  • Use the HP Printer Software or Utility that came with your printer to check for any diagnostic tools or troubleshooting options. Follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any issues.

Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to their default values.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
