Hi @ed95551,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're the administrator and you're locked out of the fax settings on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 printer, you may need to perform a factory reset to regain access. Here are the general steps for a factory reset on HP OfficeJet Pro printers.

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all custom settings on the printer, including network settings, so you may need to set them up again.

Access the Service Menu:

  • On the printer control panel, touch the right arrow to access the second navigation screen.
  • Touch the Setup icon (gear symbol).
  • Scroll down and select "Tools."
  • Touch "Restore Defaults" or a similar option.

Confirm Reset:

  • If prompted, confirm that you want to restore the default settings. This action will reset the printer.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a minute or two.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Reconfigure Settings:

  • After the printer restarts, you may need to reconfigure settings such as language, region, and any network settings.

Please consult your printer's manual for specific instructions as the steps may vary slightly depending on the model. If you don't have the manual, you can usually find it on the HP support website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
