I downloaded the HP software for my 3830 Office Jet all in one printer so I could scan pages and transfer them to my new Windows 11 laptop. When I scan them, it sometimes cancels the print for not apparent reason. It scans some pages, but not others. The paper quality is OK. I'm using the USB connect method. The software can't connect properly with the network connection. It seems to connect ok, but eventually runs into an error. Again, no explanation.

 

Just a lot of wasted time and frustration due to software that doesn't work and doesn't explain why.

 

It also takes a long time to start the next scan, after I have already saved the previous page. That's not the main problem, and I can live with that, since it's probably not going to get any better. It's just not designed for serious users who need to get work done efficiently.
